Choose protective gear for your role

• Catcher's protective gear: explore equipment for playing behind the plate. When comparing sets and individual pieces, check the listed contents, sizing and compatibility rather than assuming every item is included.
• Batter's protective gear: compare guards for the areas covered by each model, such as the elbow or lower leg. Check whether the guard is specific to a right-handed or left-handed batter.

Follow the manufacturer's inspection, cleaning and replacement instructions, including what to do after an impact or visible damage. Protective equipment cannot eliminate every risk of injury.
