About the category Balls

Choose baseballs and softballs for your team's games, training sessions and first steps in the sport. Start with the ball specification required by your competition or practice setup, then compare construction and pack quantity. A familiar color or size is not enough to confirm that a ball suits your league, bat or pitching machine.

Match the ball to the game

  • Baseball: check the intended age group, competition marking and whether the model is described as a game ball or practice ball.
  • Softball: match the specified ball size and any required COR and compression ratings. Fastpitch and slowpitch competitions may require different specifications, even when balls look similar.
  • Tee ball and introductory play: choose the approved ball type for your program. Confirm compatibility with the player's bat rather than treating every reduced-impact ball as interchangeable.

Understand the size and construction

Ball sizes stated in inches generally refer to circumference, not diameter. For softball, check the exact size your division uses rather than choosing from the player's age alone. Compare the cover, core and seam description on the product page when selecting a ball for your drills or matches.

If your competition specifies COR or compression, match the required values directly. These are separate characteristics; neither the color nor a general softball label confirms the required specification.

Check your training setup

For pitching-machine practice, follow both the machine manufacturer's ball requirements and the bat manufacturer's permitted-use instructions. A ball suitable for one setup may not be suitable for another. Use T-Ball bats only with the ball types allowed for the particular model.

Before ordering

Confirm the sport, size, league marking, construction and number of balls supplied. Compare the pack price with the quantity you need for a game or practice bucket. Keep balls dry and inspect them for damage before use. Complete your setup with baseball and softball bats and fielding gloves suited to the same sport.
