Athletic supporters, protective cups and cup-pocket shorts are separate components that need to be selected as a compatible combination. Check whether the listing includes a cup or only the garment that holds it.

Understand what you are buying

An athletic supporter or compression short with a cup pocket is not the same item as a rigid protective cup. Choose the cup according to its stated use and sizing, then confirm that the supporter or pocket is designed to hold it correctly.

• Size: follow the manufacturer's measurements for both the garment and the cup; age labels alone are not enough.
• Compatibility: check the approved cup shape and size for the particular pocket or supporter.
• Position: follow fitting instructions and check that the components remain correctly placed during normal playing movements.
• Requirements: confirm the equipment rules for the player's sport, position and competition.

Care for the complete setup

Follow the separate cleaning instructions for the cup and garment, inspect them for damage and replace components as directed. Ordinary compression clothing does not automatically include a cup pocket. Compare base layers by their actual specifications and browse protective equipment for other parts of your kit.
