In 2024, the Czech Baseball Association (ČBA) approved the use of BBCOR baseball bats in junior competitions from the 2025 season. This article describes that decision; it is not a statement of the current rules for every competition.
BBCOR is a performance standard for baseball bats made from materials other than solid wood. A BBCOR marking does not automatically mean that a bat is permitted in every age group, league or tournament.
Before buying or using a bat, confirm the permitted material and certification with your coach or competition organizer. The ČBA decision is recorded in the minutes of its Executive Committee.
