KR3 - High performance bats that give you the freedom to hit outside the sweet spot without breaking the bat.

In the spring of 1999, longtime race director Cooper (Ross Huehn) decided it was time to dust off the machines and revive the tradition. The equipment was brought to a new location in Kitchener, Ontario to begin the process of establishing a 3rd generation in Canadian bat manufacturing from St. Marys. Cooper renamed the company KR3. A company with extensive experience in sourcing high quality wood, grading, turning and finishing bats using ancient hardening processes, all with a focus on producing products that outperform at the highest professional level. As KR3 began to gear up for production, Mr. Huehn continued to work full-time as plant manager in Hespeler for the current owners, Bauer Nike Hockey, where the sticks continued to be manufactured. In the early 2000s, KR3 began selling bats to independent teams in the U.S. and manufacturing for other well-known brands. As well, it teamed up with the Canadian Baseball Hall of Fame in St. Marys, becoming its exclusive bat supplier. KR3 was approved and received its major league license on February 2, 2001, and spent time in 2001 and 2002 sampling and working with major league players, keeping the door open for local players in the area while quickly noticing that amateur players did not have access to quality wooden bats.

"No matter how time passes, I will always remember the many weekends when we first started that I spent soaking bats long into the night alongside my father. He's a dedicated, honest hard-working businessman and I learned a lot from him about old-fashioned business values, which are in short supply in today's marketplace. KR3 will always be guided by these values," says Rachel Hamel. "Our customers come back to us every season knowing that we will always do our best for them." There's an amazing difference between professional-grade and retail-grade wood that shows through in the game. It brings back the "Pop" when a player swings a KR3 Pro wood bat, it brings back the fun when he rounds the bases and heads home. It's summer, barbecues and good weather with an old game played the way it should be played.
